1. How far can the RUYAGE R7 communicate?
The R7 supports nationwide communication within the country for which it is supplied. Unlike traditional walkie talkies, it does not have a fixed radio-to-radio distance. R7 radios can communicate across different cities and regions as long as each device is connected to a compatible cellular network.
2. Does the R7 require cellular network coverage?
Yes. The R7 is a 4G LTE PoC radio and requires compatible cellular network coverage. Both radios must have a usable network connection to make private or group calls.
3. Will I receive the correct R7 version and SIM card for my country?
Yes. RUYAGE selects and sends the appropriate R7 network version and matching SIM card according to the customer’s destination country. This helps ensure compatibility with the supported cellular network in that country.
Please enter the correct delivery country when placing your order. If the radios will be used in a country different from the delivery address, contact us before ordering so we can confirm the correct version.
4. Is one year of LTE service included?
Yes. Eligible R7 purchases include 12 months of LTE service, with no separate monthly service charge during the included service period.
5. What happens after the included one-year LTE service ends?
You can contact RUYAGE before the included service period expires for current renewal options, pricing, and availability in your country.
We recommend arranging the renewal before the expiration date to help avoid an interruption in service.
6. Does each R7 require a SIM card?
Yes. Each R7 requires a compatible and activated SIM card to connect to the supported LTE network and PoC service.
RUYAGE supplies the corresponding SIM card version based on the customer’s destination country. Do not replace it with a standard mobile phone SIM card unless compatibility has been confirmed by RUYAGE.
7. Can the R7 make private and group calls?
Yes. The R7 supports instant push-to-talk communication, one-to-one private calls, and group calls.
Accounts and talk groups may need to be configured before use. If you are ordering radios for a team, please tell us how many users you need so we can help you choose the appropriate pack and setup.
